Formally based in Växjö, it operates under the auspices of the Music in South regional music foundation with funding from both Concerts Sweden and the National Council for Cultural Affairs. The aim and mission of CoMA is to create the best possible conditions and opportunities for newly-composed music, by proactive means. CoMA operates at the regional, national and international level. Its activities are crossboundary in character, both in the geographical sense and from a genre and artistic viewpoint.
